Billy
has been performing for the past 35 years entertaining up and down the East Coast and New Orleans.
He'd be the first to say that hard work
is how he got where he is today. "I've always had to work a little harder than the average musician because I'm mainly self-taught."
Playing Piano, Guitar and Harmonica are the main instruments Billy uses every night.
"I used to play the Conga Drums and I
would love to add them to the act."
"When I first starting playing some 35 years ago I was introduced to a man called
"T.C. Brown." It was my first "gig"in
Providence, Rhode Island. You know, the Big City." To me, at the time it was "The Big City."
T.C. told me: "There are alot of great musicians here, but not alot
of great entertainers. Develop your skills, be different, make em laugh!!! They'll come back to see you I promise!!!
Billy has had the honor of performing
for former President George Bush Sr. and his family in Boca Grande, Florida.
"That was an incredible experience I will never forget.
They are such gracious and loving people."
Billy has also opened for The Monkees and Herman's Hermits back in the
70's in Cape Cod, Mass.
Billy's songwriting has also
been pretty successful. The song "I'll be Your Champion" was recorded for Vinny Pazienza's
comeback fight on USA Network. Vinny
broke his neck in a car accident and was told he would never fight again.
"The song is still being used today for the Special Olympics in Hawaii
and California."
Neil Diamond also contacted
Billy after hearing the song and offered to sing the song in a movie on Vinnie's life!
Unfortunately, like alot of projects in Hollywood, the movie never made it to the theaters."
Just having Neil Diamond, one of the greatest
songwriters of all times be interested in a song I wrote is good enough for me!"
"If 35 years ago someone said to me I'd still be performing at my
age I would never have believed it!
I love doing what I do and look forward to every night's performance."
